About the role

As one of ScoreApp’s AI Development team, you’ll play a central role in building and refining our next generation of AI-driven tools – helping users create high-quality scorecards, quizzes, and reports faster than ever before. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to research, prototype, and implement AI features that make complex tasks simple and intuitive.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who loves working at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and user experience. You’ll bring ideas to life, from text generation and content suggestions to personalization engines and intelligent data analysis, ensuring every AI feature adds genuine value to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered features within the ScoreApp platform to assist users in creating scorecards, questions, and personalized content.
• Work with product and design teams to identify real user problems that can be solved through AI innovation.
• Integrate LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into scalable backend systems.
• Develop, test, and optimize prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and contextual data handling workflows.
• Implement effective retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) strategies to personalize outputs using user data.
• Ensure all AI solutions are built with a focus on performance, reliability, privacy, and security.
• Stay current with emerging tools and frameworks in generative AI, NLP, and ML infrastructure to inform future development.
• Collaborate with the wider dev team to integrate AI services into existing systems and workflows.
• Deliver intuitive, high-value AI features that enhance user creativity and productivity.
• Improve accuracy, relevance, and reliability of AI-generated content and recommendations.
• Establish robust infrastructure and testing frameworks for AI model integration.
• Reduce manual setup time for users through AI-driven automation and content generation.

Key Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as an AI Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Software Engineer with AI integration experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (and/or JavaScript/TypeScript) for backend development and API integration.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI API, Anthropic, or similar LLM-based platforms.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, contextual data handling, and token optimization.
• Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and embedding pipelines.
• Experience working with data preprocessing, model fine-tuning, or RAG architectures.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, product-led SaaS environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a passion for user-focused innovation.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of frontend integration for AI features using React or Next.js.
• Familiarity with analytics and feedback loops for continuous model improvement.
