Everything in your business is downstream from lead generation. Solve that, and hiring, sales, and scaling all get easier. Don’t solve it, and nothing else matters much.
That’s the opening line of a masterclass our co-founder Daniel just recorded, and it’s worth sitting with. Most businesses treat lead generation as a traffic problem – more ads, more posts, more outreach. The businesses that actually get ahead treat it as a qualification problem: not “how do we get more people to raise their hand,” but “how do we know, the moment someone raises it, whether they’re the right fit.”
Daniel walks through the exact system – landing page, questions, results page – that ScoreApp customers already use to do this. Here’s the breakdown.
The landing page: two hooks, one job
Every high-converting assessment landing page opens with one of two hooks. A frustration hook names a problem someone’s already living with – “frustrated that you’re not seeing results, even though you’re doing the work.” A readiness hook asks a direct question – “are you ready to run your first marathon?” Either way, the subheading does the same job: “answer 15 questions to find out why, and what to do about it.”
Below the hook sits the value proposition – tell people you’re going to measure and improve three specific things – then credibility (who you are, what you’ve done, any research or stats worth quoting), then a CTA that stacks four things together: start now, it takes three minutes, it’s free, and you get immediate recommendations. Get all four right and 20–40% of visitors who land on the page will start the assessment.
The 15-question structure

The questions aren’t random. Ten are best-practice questions – the habits someone should be doing if they’re on track – and these are what build the actual score. The other five are qualifying questions, and they’re where the real value lives: current situation, desired outcome in the next 90 days, the obstacle in the way, which solution they think they need (this one quietly tells you their budget), and one open box asking if there’s anything else worth knowing. That last question does more work than people expect – it’s where someone tells you they’ve already read your book, or that they’ve got budget to spend by month end.
Dynamic results: the payoff
Once someone’s answered, the results page changes based on how they answered it. A big reveal (their overall score), three insights specific to their answers, and a next step that’s tailored to how qualified they are – a 1:1 call for a strong fit, a group session for the middle ground, just useful content for someone who isn’t ready yet. This is what makes it a qualification tool and not just a lead magnet.
Why it works
Get the landing page, the questions, and the results page right, and you’re not just collecting leads – you’re collecting leads you already understand. You know who’s ready, what they want, what’s stopping them, and roughly what they’re willing to spend, before you ever pick up the phone.
